REMOVING GREASE TO remove grease marks from wall- * paper, make a thick paste of pipeclay, water; and three or four drops of ammonia. Apply thickly and let it remain on the' mark for two days; then remove with a stiff brush. # * # TO prevent steel from rusting, wash it occasionally with carbonate of soda and water. #•. • ■ TO SAVE COAL TO economise with coal, dissolve * about %lb. of washing soda m a large pail of water. Sprinkle it well over the coal and let it stand for an hour before putting on the fire. # # * TO remove the musty odor from a * cupboard, put an ounce of spirits of lavender and a lump of salts of ammonia m a jar, -leave it uncovered and place m the cupboard for a few hours.
