Ai Jackson, the Union Club's sculler, khd present New Zealand champion, will probably go over with Healey and his men if the trip, eventuates. • ! Jackson is one of the most prom- ' Rising scullers seen out for a long ; ; time and is keen to meet Pearce % .The /latter, admittedly, is an exceptionally, fine sculler, however, and good as , Jackson is; it is almost too much to expect him to prove equal to beating the Australian. • Jackson is capable of. a lot of improvement and with proper coaching he, may .develop into a world's champion.^but he has;a?long way to go before he will be such a finished sculler as W. Webb. Still he- has all the physical advantages necessary, and he also has the grit arid determination essential to make a champion. What is ' more, lie is keen to reach the top, and to tackle Pearce if he gets the chance. ! Without recording anything special, JJlyde Park. is doing very nicely.
