! THREE horses are 1 taking the last fence m the Beaufort Steeplechase at 3looarton, and each der has' a distinct style of hla own. --. The horse just landing is Ranul, whioh had set the pace most of the way. Jumping the Inside of the fence fa the old battler, Tuki. He had the stamina, and this won for him. Breasting the fence is the National winner, Wiltshire. He did not jump well at any stage and was a poor third. The remainder of the field failed to complete the course.
PANUI'JS rider, *V Tilson, Is sitting well backhaving a longer ride! His saddle has slipped, and this probably cost him the race. Ellis, on Tuki, is taking the shortest way home^-rlght up on the wing. Syme had had anything but a comfortable seat right through the trip, and over he goes on his mount's mouth. The obstacle Is a decent-sized 4 brush fence, but it seldom gives any trouble to contestants— though it Is the last. Still, the leader Is always glad to land over It*
