PLEASED. THEM
How Miss Kay Played In Sydney (By Cable.— From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Sydney Rep.) The Women's Golf Championship of Australia, played on Links Royal at Sydney, was very successful, the interest, being heightened by the visit of Miss Oliver, Kay of New Zealand. QHE is indeed, a "fine golfer and will rank among the very best players here. ' Possessed of admirable golfing temperament, she .hits as far :as anyone and is good at. approach and m putting. i ■'■ . ■ _• . Her style, m fact, is different from any other m Australia, the stance beingvery wide, which may be good or bad. Miss Kay's chief fault . is that she takes the spoon at holes where she should use an iron. She would improve enormously if she had more play with women of her class. It is fair. to say that another tale might have been told had her match against Miss McLeod been over 36 holes instead of. 18, when she was then only beaten by one hole. Miss Kay is m Sydney. ■'"
