MOTORISTS who. are electrioians enough to know that negative current is the one invariably grounded are sometimes surprised to find that the positive terminal of the storage battery of their car is grounded to the frame. , This is possible because the "ground" of an automobile is something of a private one. The metallic parts are insulated from the true ground represented by the earth by reason of the rubber..tyre 6. , Either the positive or negative sides of the battery may be grounded to the frame. But if the .positive is used instead of the negative, as is more common, it is important to remember to ground the positive brushes of the starter hiotor and the generator.^ /
