COL.PERITE has been keeping Jack Pearson at home m the evenings. The Winter Cup candidate has been giving his trainer an anxious time, and it will be bad luck if he fails to stand the windihg-up essays of his preparation* Solf erite , has been responsible for some good work and was one of the early fancies for the Winter i Gup. He got away well m the Brabazon Handicap at the Christchurch Hunt meeting and ran well for 1 six furlongs, but failed to come on.
