TO COME BACK
Owners Should Revive Association
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) • Once upon a time there existed a body known as the North Island Owners', Breeders' and Trainers' Association. TN fact, this band' of enthusiasts did *■ much to assist matters m the sport, but owing to lack of support the association has for some time been a thing of the past. During: recent weeks "N.Z. Truth" has met several owners and trainers who are desirous of forming a similar association again. These sportsmen consider that the various clubs have m some way or another not framed programmes, etc., m a manner where Aucklanders are given encouragement to compete. It is their object to get together a number of experienced followers of the sport who will point-out discrepancies to those who hold the reins m such branches as training , conditions, dates for meetings, handicapping, etc. . Whether the association will come into being again, only the future can tell, but at present the movement on foot looks like developing! into a reality.
A bunch of thieves recently stole Jimmy Bryce's new sedan motor-car, and after hitting another fellow's bus with it while going at not more than 20 miles an hour, they left the car. Jimmy is advertising for them.
Kingcraft will join good company this season, as will Eugene de'Oro.
