There is a horse eligible for the Cashmere Plate on Tuesday which . ran /fourth m- the Brabazon last Saturday. THE horse is Malmsey arid should she * be left m the Plate, 'instead of the Winter Cup, there will be a rush to be on her. The last half of the season found Malmsey, a very consistent (ady and she won several races. . On Saturday last, competing against the good stuff, she put up a fine performance m running fourth m the BrabazonV for she was a long way back on .the turn; Roi de Val will be Trentham's hope and he would be much talked of with a race into him. Sarnia won the Maiden last Saturday, fairly outstaying Hurly Burly, and though the latter will improve, so will Sarnia. ; Another which contested the race and which will come on is Starshooter. Solgele goes fast, while Wreath' of Myrtle was favorite last year and ran third. • -. .• Then there is a horse called Locarno and the likely one to bring victory , to the North Island. Betting may be between the two islands, per medium of: LOCARNO and MALMSEY.
