In all probability the Trotting Club will hold its Labor Day gathering on the new course, which is bearing a grand sward of grass, and, provided the weather is at all reasonable, will be fit to race on m October. < From the balance-sheet just to hand, the Oamaru Trotting Club has enjoyed a splendid, season. An excess of assets over liabilities is shown at £13,537 Os. 7d., whereas last year the club's total wealth was £12,536 lis., and m the interim the club has contributed £326^ towards the cost of the new course, which, when finished, will be complete m every detail. .
