And does a performer fail to answer the roll-call? Then do the businesslike digits of A'.H.P. tweak the ear of a hapless substitute and lead him to the rostrum of sacrifice. . It takes,a mixture of things to build up a snappy, gloom-dispelling Orphans' Clvb—and one of the most important ingredients is a secretary like Powell. '■■' Those choice blooms you see on Mr. Chairman's table probably came from the garden of Powell. Cultivating such blooms is his favorite outdoor hobby.
