GOOD ADVICE

And. Dirty Work At Cross Roads

An incident at a country meeting some time back — when a woman owner' kicked up a noise about her trainer— As not yet forgotten. .' THE then chief stipe, gave the trainer some advice — "never train for a woman, my boy" — but it went unheeded. • It possibly would please the stipe's vanity to know his advice was sound. For the woman, m recent times, turned round and took the trainer on again. She accused him of everything — being drunk all the time on a trip was her main allegation. • Further, she assured him m a charming manner he would not get his license again. . The dear lady is wrong m both her statements.' "N.Z: Truth" was' away on the same trip that the trainer was supposed to spend m a drunken state. That he stayed with the stipe at the, same hotel is certain, and the lady only needs to ask that gentleman about the trainer. Of course, she would not believe the stipe! His license is all right, and so it should be. The trainer is a decent little fellow and knows his job. And from now on he is not going to train for a woman.
