From Pigsty To Politics
DEALING' scientifically with pigs and politics apparently militates against the extreme niceties of political language. Member Allen Bell (they still insist on designating him Colonel) is rather stretching his independence when he indulges m inane puerilities unworthy of Parliament. His excursion into a discussion on pigs might have, been all right as a pet subject — and one which he apparently knows all about— but. degenerating to the plebian level of inferentially identifying honorable members of the Representative Assembly with pigs, during those costly moments of political debate, is dragging down a Parliamentary standard already sorely m need of brilliant, clear and incisive eloquence. In any case, better to say nothing if the mind can only function m terms of pigs.
