Hanna's Departure
IT'S great how these bank managers are being promoted at the present moment. But more than, one appointment will break up friendly circles. ' • ' . ■ ' Take, for instance, the appointment of P. R. M. Hanha, who, until recently, was assistant manager of the National Bank of New Zealand m Auckland. The powers-that-be have seen fit- to make him manager of the Dunedm branch, altogether overlooking the fact that Hanna has a large number of friends m the, Queen City, who, whilst approving of his upward, glide, will certainly not relish losing contact with his genial .personality. Still, progress demands many sacrifices; and Hanna must : perforce girt himself with his customary cheerful r ness and betake himself to the City of Haggis. ; ■'."■'■■■■■■ -.. ; ''■: >'■ Rest assured he won't be long among the good Caledonians before they will unanimously conclude that be is worthy of becoming one of the clan. -
