AUTUMN DATES
Northern Trainers Are Anxious (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) There is likely to be a decided move on the part of owners and trainers up north to influence the A.T.C. to revert back from winter to autumn dates. DROBABLY the argument to be ad- * vanced will be that northern trainers will have better prospects of keeping their horses fit m the autumn than depending upon the rough state of • the training tracks at Alexandra Park during June. There is something ih the argument, too. , That sand track which .. was laid down at headquarters was like money, thrown m the sea when it comes to depending upon it for training, purposes m bad weather. —t-. , —9
