Till's Tilling
WHEN, not so very long ago, the postman left a neat little card announcing that N. H. Graveston, solicitor, of Christchurch, had taken into partnership, W. S. T. Till, there was a desire to congratulate Graveston on his good luck. For Till is that type of man who makes the most * reliable and trustworthy . partner. True, Till is still a very young man; tout has pushed himself along, the push being made all the easier 'throughbeing lubricated with umpteen gallons of, super-quality midnight oil. He is one of those rare mortals who likes a problem for the fascination of unravelling it. Give him a Job in which the plaintiff A seeks to restrain the defendant B from making his wireless set "howl" and Till will prove, to the satisfaction of all men, that the defendant B has, owing to a flaw in the Main Roads Act, no legal right to look at, yet alone use wireless apparatus of any kind. . With that optimism that comes natural to native-born colonials, Till threw himself into a field that was already overcrowded. » Still, there's always plenty for a good man to do and Till finds that he could do with a thirty-six hour day.
