OUT OF LUCK
Chris Rokkjer Up Against It (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) Whenever Chris. Rokkjer journeyed from "Aussie" to Auckland it was after cash. WHAT he wanted he generally obtained—with Rock Allen • and Native Prince some decent stakes,- as well as prices, came his way. Followers of the sport m the north dubbed the astute Mascot trainer as lucky, which perhaps may have been the case at Alexandra Park, but which certainly was not the vogue m Sydney. Bad luck commenced to make Its presence felt some time ago, when Rokkjer broke his knee. ' Round about the same time his Buick six collided with another car, with the ultimate result that he has now to dip into his pocket to the extent of £750 for injuries received by those who came off worst m the argument. In the interim, Rokkjer earned the Sydney stewards' displeasure and had to stand down for six months. Whatever quidlets he scooped m here were soon handed out In the land of the kangaroo. It would occasion no surprise to see Rokkjer cross the Tasman for some time — if not for good.
