ALONG THE GOLDEN ROAD
AT long last the poetical soul of Geoffrey Wladislas Vaile ■ Potocki de Montalk is free once more to woo the muse un- , disturbed by such an impedim ent as a wife. For this boon to his poet's heart he is indebted to' Ada Lillian, his wife,' who secured her decree nisi from Ju dge Adams at Christchurch recently on the grounds that Geoffrey had failed to comply with an order for restitution of conjugal rights. When the stormy story of the de Montalk 's married life was told to the same judge last Court sessions some amazing letters written by the poet to his wife were read. Geoffrey proposed following "the golden road to Samar- , fcand" and flatly refused to go back to his wife. L Indicating his preferences for the future he said that "next time it would be a woman with a royal body and a royal mind or there would be no next time." But practical Ada Lillian has had the last words. Facts not phantasies for her.
