MURDER
Night. Dark, impenetrable, still night. A figure, silhouetted for a moment against the doorway, stole softly into the room. A board creaked. Ominous, nervewracking noise. Uncanny quiet. Tense mystery. . All was silence. Came slow, uneven breathing.
Then something gleamed in that upraised hand. The flash sinister! Death came down to whisper. With a sickening thud, the blow fell!
Yes, death— death had come. These troublesome mice taka catching at the seaside.— L.B.F.
