WHEN old-timers talk of the early ; Fuller Vaudeville days, name's . ; such as Bluett, Watkins, SteTens and Hayden are sure to be mentioned.
Alf. Hayden is still. in New Zealand h\d, although a family man now and h e . manager of a couple of Auckland luburban picture theatres, he still lings comic songs excellently well but rives his services only in charitable :auses.
i Ha £, den , was one of the pioneers in the film business. Time was when Alf s name- had become known on the London music halls as a character comedian of note.
One day the late Harry Rickard persuaded him to come to Australia, where he achieved success. Later he ]omed up under the Fuller banner. Alf is a favorite with all professionals, for he has an inexhaustible supply of reminiscences and can tell a stqry in excellent style. He is, moreover, an excellent host. Hayden is an Irishman by nationality and a. Londoner by adoption. , With his nationality he has inherited ,all the finest characteristics of his race — need we say more.
