Notes From The North

(From "N.Z. Truth's" Specia:

D RIGHT NIGHT has improved a lot *-^ since November and took the Introductory at Auckland in a fashion which denotes further victories.

It will be surprising if Nelson Boy goes away from Auckland without a minor trotting stake. He had some leeway to make up to get second on Tuesday last.

Gold Sovereign may improve as the northern meeting progresses. ' He needed the racing. • ■• • '

Auditress is a bit of an "iffer" off the mark and lost what chance

she had on Tuesday by not going

off smartly. Then, on the journey, she and Daytime lost what show they had by almost colliding when improving their positions.

Daytime may get a stake this week. She was a bit unlucky when she finished second to Wallroon.

* # # Jack Potts was finishing on strongly for second in the Auckland Cup.
