Passion For Vests

This year has seen a veritable passion on the part of al] the fair and frail to wear vest and small waistcoats. The craze has not died one jot with the coming of spring, and many chic little styles will be aired for the rest of the year.

THOSE nice slick-looking little waistcoats, so beloved of the girl, who is termed coat and skirt type, to be quite correct should have a mannish look.

White pique is the dernier cri for Avearing with a suit. Cut on severe lines, double or single breasted, with large pearl buttons as fasteners, the white pique waistcoat is the nicest thing.

You can please yourself as to whether you have it cut with two points at the bottom, or ending at the waist line as these young men who consider their appearance so carefully, have them.

Organdie makes a charming: little front and makes a snowy crisp fill-in for the afternoon spring frock.

Russian braid is frequently used as trimming for these organdie i'ronts, which are further finished off with a row of buttons either of self material or of pearl.'

White washing satin of good quality looks well on the black crepe-de -chine or dull satin frock.

Crepe-de-chine vests, collared and hem-stitched, are most useful little accessories, and a black satin soft tie strikes the right note for the spring walking suit.

Variety is always the spice of life, and this applies particularly to clothes. A number of these so popular vests would be an expensive item to buy, but decidedly inexpensive and easy to make at home.

They are worth the trouble of making, for, as we have stated, they will be seen in their hundreds for quite some time to come.
