Underwear, nighties, knickers, and petticoats are also well to the fore in floral designs, usually oC lingerie lawn or soft voile, both of which are to be recommended on the score of cheapness in price and prettiness in appearance. The prettiest and daintiest nightgown we have seen for many a long day was made of flowered voile. It had a yoke of lace, a hem oC lace, and the quaintest v-shaped lace pockets. All of this should serve to emphasize the fact that in your summer outfit at least some part must be flowery. You remember the much be-pattern-ed flowery cretonne coats we used to wear a few summers back; pretty thing's they were, although , rather heavy for very hot clays. There will be flowers, flowers all the way, but this time they will sprawl on silken coats, which will retain their freshness after much laundering.
