(runs to Cross Creek only 2nd January). RETURN TRAINS run as follows: FOR WELLINGTON.— Featherston dep. 5.20, 6.55, 7.45 p.m. FOR MASTERTON.— Featherston dep. 5.40, 7.42 p.m. The usual 7.60 a.m. Wellington - Woodville train will not stop at Featherston. The 6.85 a.m. train will not stop at Kalwarra, nor (between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt nor at Mangaroa. The 8.80 a,m. train will not take passengers for Upper Hutt or between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt. Special Excursion tickets to Featherston, available for return until Brd January, twill be obtainable by special race trains from Wellington and ; morning train from Masterton each race day. Return fares from Wellington 8/11. 6/1; Upper Hutt 5/4, 8/6; Carterton 8/1, 2/-; Masterton 4/8, 8/1. HAWKB'S BAY RACES AT HASTINGS RACECOURSE Hastings- Napier On 31st December and 2nd January, trains for Hastings Racecourse leave Napier 11.26, 11.55 a»m., 12.15 p.m. Return trains leave Hastings Racecourse 5.30, 5.60 p.m. Special race tickets to Hastings Racecourse, Including admission to Racecourse and available for return on day of issue only, will be obtainable each day at Napier (5/-, 4/-), Cllve (4/-, 3/3), Whakatu (3/6, 3/-), Tomoana (3/-, 2/6). These tickets will not be available by Napier-Well-ington express trains. Dannevirke- Hastings Special cheap excursion tickets to Hastings, available for return until 3rd January, will toe issued from Dannevirke, Poukawa, and intermediate stations, and stations on Eskdale line to Hastings Racecourse, on 31st December and 2nd January only by morning trains. Tickets from south are available for (break of journey at Hastings Racecourse. Return fares, Ist and 2nd class, from prinoipal stations — Dannevirke 13/1, 8/11; Takapau 8/11, 6/1; "Waipukurau 6/6, 4/5; Walpawa 5/8, 3/9. On 3lßt December trains leave Dannevirke 8.58 a.m., Waipukurau 7.15, 10.6, 11.17 a.m. * On 2nd January trains leave Dannevirke 8.30, 8.68 a.m., Waipukurau 7.40, 10.5, 11.17 a.m. Return trains for Waipukurau leave Racecourse 5.40 and 6.12 p.m. on 31st December. Return train for Dannevirke leaves Racecourse 5.40 p.m. and for Waipukurau 6.40 and 6.12 p.m. on 2nd January. The 8.30 a,m. special from Dannevirke on 2nd January will not stop at Plrlplri, Ropua, Whenuahou or Mara.keke. Morning and evening trains Eskdale line connect at Napier with race specials. Free passes, season, privilege, tourist and commutation tickets and passes held by Members of the Legislature will not be available by the Dannevirke, Waipukurau, and Napier-Has-tlngs race trains. MASTBRTON CALEDONIAN SPORTS On 2nd January trains leave Wellington 6.35, 7.50, 8.30 a.m. • Return trains leave Masterton 5.20, 6.10 p.m. Train leaves Woodville 6.46 a.tn. Return train leaves Masterton 6.23 p.m. PARAPARAUMU SPORTS. On 2nd January, special train leaves Wellington 8.44 a.m. for Paraparaumu. Return train leaves Paraparaumu 6.0 p.m. for Wellington. Train leaves Palmerston North 6.58 a.m. Return train leaves Paraparaumu 7.20 p.m. DANNEVIRKE SPORTS On 2nd January train leaves Woodville 10 a.m. for Dannevirke. Return train leaves Dannevirke 5.20 p.m. for Palmerston. Connects Woodville with morning and evening Masterton trains. Usual 4.5 p.m. DannevWke-Waipuku-rau train will leave Dannevirke 5.21 p.m. i> MARTON RACES Special cheap excursion tickets to Marton, available for return until 4th January, will be obtainable at Wanganul, Taihape, Foxton, Paekakariki, and intermediate stations, on 2nd and 3rd January. Return fares (Ist and 2nd class) from principal stations — Taihape 8/11, 6/1; Wanganul 7/-, 4/9; Foxton 10/3, V-. These tickets iwill <be issued by morning trains only and will not be available by express and relief express trains. On 2nd and 3rd January, train leaves Taihape 8.26 a.m. for Marton. Return trains leave Marton 5.40, 8.25 p.m. for Taihape. Trains leave Wanganui 6.35, 9.40 a.m. Return trains leave Marton for Wanganui 5.42, 6.32 p.m. Train for Falmerston North leaves Paekakarlki 7.25 a.m. 2nd January, 6.15 a.m. 3rd January; Otaki 8.14 a.m. 2nd, 7.0 a.m. 3rd; Levin 8.46 a.m. 2nd, 7.88 a.m. Brd. Connects with train leaving Palmerston North 10.3 a.m. 2nd, 9.20 a.m. 3rd, for Marton. Return trains leave Marton 5.35 p.m. on 2nd 5.60 p.m. 3rd January, connecting at Palmerston North with train for Paekakariki and "Wellington both days.
