Prospects For South Wairarapa

(By "The Toff.") Wellington and Manawatu trotting enthusiasts will be the guests of the South Wairarapa Trotting Club during the Christmas period. THE star attraction is the Wairarapa Cup, m which Bankhead, Achray and Pageant will be m the boom, but. they will have to. be m good buckle to keep m front of Vecto, Explosion and Asset. In all probability Pageant, Achray and Vecto will go best. In the Trial Handicap Doric, Direct Wave and Trumpeter are the pick. For the Summer Handicap, Repute, Nelson's Request and Call Boy will be most sought after, while for the Bey Handicap Pageant, Bell Somerton and Golden Morn will be worth noting. Brown Logan and Welcome Pearl will be supported for the Boxing Day Handicap and Repute and Brian Bingen will have friends for the Members'^ Handicap. Brown Admiral also figures m the Clareville Handicap; so does Tommy Dillon. In the President's Handicap Nella Dillon, Direct Wave,* Doric and Drift Wave should keep the judge busy to separate them at the finish.
