Thompson s Progress

HARRY THOMPSON, of Raetihi, conies from Leeds, Yorkshire, but, like many other of his countrymen, he -was full of that restless energy which made it impossible for him to "stay put." He started out as an employee of the county council, but after working m the one place for six years branched out m business on his own account. To-day he is proprietor of a fine theatre at Raetihi and, m addition, runs a circuit of three other picture houses. Harry combines a shrewd business ability with a. big-hearted friendliness towards everyone, the latter characteristic helping: considerably towards his success.
