LOOKING BACK AT WELLINGTON

The Wellington Trotting Club's meeting* at Petone last Saturday provided some good sport. Brief references to the horses'performances are made hereunder:
Native Star won the Wilford Handicap like a good one. She is an exceptionally well-bred mare and is at home over a journey.
Tamerlane was too sore to begin in the Nai Nai Handicap and let his backers down very badly. So did Little Johnnie and Swiftbine.
Logan Park is a brilliant customer which- will get some money this season. He walked in over a mile and. a« quarter. Take no notice of Ahuriri's form at Wellington. He is quite all right. * * Epigram's condition was a credit to his trainer, Q. McKendry, who l'Cde him particularly well when he won at Wellington. * * Bingen Lad was capably ridden by M. B.
