How Wickets Fell In Wellington (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Wellington Rep.) Real cricket weather was experienced m Wellington on Saturday, but the heavy rain of the previous days left the wickets all m favor of spin-bowlers. Institute, University, Hutt and Old Boys gained outright victories. QLAYING for Midland, D. Patrick m 1 most brilliant style, knocked up 104 and at the end he was still giving the Wellington fieldsmen some scouting to do. Beard (Hutt) took 6 for 15. Massey (Institute) 5 for 33 and Tripe (University) 5 for 36. Considering the drying state of the wickets after the recent heavy rain, the batsmen made fair showings m the various matches on Saturday. The hot sun had the effect of cracking the pitches and this left everything m favor of the bowlers. Slow bowlers were able to get the maximum of spin with the ball and it
