He did it nicely ctnd with a sureness of purpose that always brought results. If he would, Kemp could reveal some amusing and lively incidents of the detective branch when he was such a valuable member of it. His association with the Wellington office was a long and honorable one and no one begrudged him his lift on the ladder.
Down m the south he is known as a man who minds his own business and that of everybody else's, but he has not yet made any enemies. And now, m his hour of sickness, his host of friends,the whole country over are anxiously waiting for the time when he can again set his feet along the path of duty and activity. It is to be hoped that he will be spared to the force, which needs such men as he, £or many a long day to comei
