SIGHT ounces of seedless raisins, four *•* ounces of currants, eight ounces of suet, half a teaspoon of grated nutmeg and cinnamon mixed, eight ounces sultanas, eight ounces of apples one ounce of mixed peel, juice of one lemon. Clean and chop the dried fruit, add the peeled and chopped apples, grated auet, shredded peel, spices and lemon juice,, and mix thoroughly. P,ut into jars till wanted, but do not keep very long before using.
DILE six penny sponge cakes soaked * m milk m a glass dish, putting first three, then a ' layer of raspberry jam, then two with another layer of jam, and the remaining 1 one on top; before serving pour cream or custard over top, decorate with nuts or preserved cherries. ..,.■•
