Here's Why
PARLIAMENT'S extraordinarily long session^ or an extraordinarily short crop of legislative plums for the Blue Book pudding, could indicate mere political talkativeness, but it does not.
It indicates restiveness. The undercurrents are strong. They have bred doubt, suspicion — fear. Legislative programmes have been altered.
There has been procrastination, dilly-dallying-, lack ( -— .' appalling lack — of leadership, merely because, Goates is not and never could be even the» semblance of a leader.
The session has been painfully long. May the death of the Government be painlessly short.
