He Is A Trier, Is Downie Stewart
THERE are still those factions who vigorously assail the Stewartian .adjustment — •jjo-called —of tariff anomalies, and, because, there* always will be opposition to anything 'brought down by any Body, one must expect it. It must be conceded,, however, that m this case,Downie Stewart hasdone his best to. meet the Brobdingpagian morifter of trade difficulties.
In many respects, Stewart has failed lamentably, and, although his efforts m regard to tariff have been sincere, it must be said of him that he was a trier,. unable to completfeiv "deliver the goods."
