Bachelor Gay Will Jump No More

Bachelor Gay will never'trduble any more about Riccarton and its hurdle, races.

LIB has gone to the land where good *^* horses go and though he went out m anything but a blaze of glory he gave everybody a thrill. He got his way m the end, but m doing so he broke a fetlock and had to be destroyed. • . At one stage of his career Gay appeared to be the makings of a fair sort of -hurdler) but he never lived up to that promise. He was too impetuous m his races a,nd his bull-at-a-gate tactics even-: tually fixed him for good.
