Thomas Twohy Cannot

Be Found

The question has interested the Auckland police for several weeks past, but — -strange though it seems — no officer of the law has been able to locate the whereabouts of Thomas Twohy for the last three months.

UIS identity has been particularly obscure since a young, woman, six weeks ago, applied to the Auckland Magistrate's Court to have Twohy arrested — she had "some important business to discuss with him. vSo momentous and urgent was the woman's business that she found . it necessary to again approach the court last week, regardless of the fact that so far the police had failed to apprehend the elusive Thomas. , * . - For "him awaits the glad tidings that he has been adjudged the father of two bonny, children, who were both present m court with their mother when she told the S.M. all about it. With the. proud knowledge of his parentage,' Thomas will doubtlessly be the better able to face the further information that he; has been ordered to pay £2 a week to his late female acquaintance for the maintenance of her two offspring. "You say he is a bookmaker?" inquired Magistrate Hunt of Lawyer Lea. Adams, who placed the facts before the court. "Yes, sir."
