THE tax of fourpence a gallon oh petrol m addition to the existing high registration fees, etc., merits little comment, seeing it is so obviously iniquitous. Such measures show the roundabout wdy m which Governmental "painful extraction" is exercised. Long ago it was said that such an imposition would never be necessary seeing that the motorists had already been asked to meet the maintenance of their highways through fees. It points conclusively to some priceless maladministration somewhere.
