A Growing Boy Writes to T.K.Sidey, M.P.
JYEAR Mr. Sidey, If you have really been m ;the House of Representatives for twenty yeats or more you should know .what sleep is. And if you know what sleep is to the growing boy you ought to know that you treat us kids pretty rough. That's straight. *, ' However, I am writing to ask you if you will be good enough to forward me a signed photbgraph of yourself. I think -I shall have you between the picture of the common house fly and my school teacher or else between Aunty Gert and the fan-tailed butterfly. , Father has been saying at you are a great chap but father and I do not always agree on small things ,-like that. Mother says she would like to kiss you but mother doesn't know what sleep is to the growing boy. Your daylight saving isn't a saving. Its very expen-' . "sive and dad is weairig out a lot of slippers m climbing the stairs to get. me out of bed when I know the clocks are only faked by you. • '■ " Anyway, I'll tell you this. You have succeeded m rousing us youngsters out of bed an hour earlier and hounding us back there an hour too soon and if you call that clever, you are welcome to it. The milk comes late and. breakfast later. A growing • boy should not be treated m this manner. I hope it rains all through the summer and comes, out sunny all through ■ the winter. That would nark you. ■ . Yours truly, \ ■ . : Jim Stitch. j P.S.—Don^t forget the photo, please. • .. \/a
