One Yard of Tubing One of the most useful things which can be carried m. the toolbox, is a three-foot length of good strong rubber tubing, about a quarter inch internal diameter. XN the event of vacuum tank troubles, ■*■ it is invaluable for drawing petrol from the main tank, and for assisting a stranded fellow-motorist by transferring a much -needed half-gallon of "juice." It is also valuable m the case of a broken petrol pipe or vacuum pipe, as a length can be quickly inserted m the break. It can also be used for blowing dirt out of the bottom of the float chamber should trouble occur on the road, and for priming an obstinate engliie m an emergency. A flat tin, such as an oval Capstan cigarette box, makes an ideal container to carry the tube m,, and a little French chalk rubhed over it will preserve the tube for a couple of years.
