SHE TRAVELS
A Speedy Miss Is Childsplay Childsplay is only a flapper and like » number of that brigade she is a speedy miss. VERY encouraging reports came of Childsplay after she won at Wfngatui and every word of them was deserved. There was no false booming m her case. She met the best of them at Trentham and made them look cheap. The squibby Endorse went fast for just on three furlongs, but then Childsplay ran up and ran on. Emerson did not take any chances with her m the run to the post and she won m the record time of 60% sees. And the wind did not help her, either. Prince Humphrey tried his best to get to the southern filly and though he finished gamely under the stick he could not bridge the gap. Childsplay on first appearance looks small, but once alongside of her she is not. She is beautifully built and as neatly put together as could be wished. The Welcome Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday week looks good for the Chokebore filly. She will not let the rest m over five — it has to be seen what will happen when the distances increase.
