Fuller's Future
"THERE is evidently no place on * the astral plane of clairvoyancy for flaxen -haired Fuller Carroll, a young woman who appeared at the Auckland Police Court last week charged with breaking the laws of the country by offering to look into the future for several "clients." Making her debut as a fortuneteller, the fair defendant upset the ordinary run of commercialism which usually attends her fascinating profession. It cost. Fuller a great deal more to delve into the future for her "clients" than she received for her mental exertion's. But this was because the young prophetess — although she didn't know it at the time — had taken upon herself the colossal task of foretelling what troubles and joys lay ahead for a member of the police force. His worship wished to know whether she was making her living at the business, but Chief Detective Cummings put m the kindly word that she had only carried on "m a small way."' Fuller's trip over the horizon of prescience cost her a fine of 40/-, with 10/- costs.
