The Jumper Suit Popular For New Season

WE are likely to see more sports clothes worn this season than ever before. For all occasions and at all hours of the day the jumper suit will be worn this coming season.

NEVER in the history of fashions have we been given such a wonderful garment as the jumper. It is not out of place to wear it anywhere — provided, of course, that suitable materials are used. Everyone

cannot do better than have a jumper of striped jersey, which material you can buy by the yard. It is also a good idea, if possible, to have the hem and shoulder yoke of the jumper made of the same material as the skirt. Another little touch that will make a deal of difference to its appearance is to put in a few perpendicular tucks at the hem of the jumper. Not a lot, but just a few- to bring it right up to date. The variety of woven woollen materials allow plenty of scope' for charming effects. But if you decide on stripes, make them come to the hem of the jumper. Also you may have a square neck and no sleeves. In this case, you will find It an improvement to edge the neck and armholes with a narrow band of the striped part. If you are the proud possessor of one of those crepella cardigan suits, you need only make a mock jumper. Crepe de chine is the material for this. An elastic band round the waist will keen it in place and the collar is fastened with small pearl buttons. One of these little mock jumpers will revive your woollen suit, especially if you choose some bright spring-like color. *
