WILL GO TEN
Delightment Shows His Paces (From "N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland Rep.) By racing into third place m the Mitchelson Cup, Delightment gave ■ the lie direct to the belief that he would not cover a middle distance safely. TT was certainly a luxury for the son * of Catmint to toe saddled with 7.4 and lie experienced little difficulty m finding the front early and retaining the lead well into the straight. This certainly indicated that if he had been reserved for a ten -furlong event he would have been home with the bacon. As it was. he gathered In 200 soys. for hie minor placing. It seems only a matter of being carefu-l with the son of Catmint on the hard going to get a respectable handicap up to ten furlongs. Keep that Mitchelson Cup effort m your brain-toox.
