THE minds of four judges and the whole machinery of the Court 1 of Appeal, New Zealand's highest legal tribunal, were employed m Wellington last week on the task of deciding whether Walter Velds, sentenced for attempted serious offences against two little girls, was really technically guilty of the charge on which he stood convicted.
