New Zealand's Great City
THE name Wellington is really Latin for wind, and has nothing whatever to do with the fact that Parliament is situated m that .
famed city—famed, m fact, all over, the world. Wellington is the capital. The city has many tractions—including a place called Ngahauranga. The popular abbreviated way when passing^S m a train is that the pleasure re-
sort is "a fair besfut." Nobody who has lived m the city will stop m Ngahauranga and argue the merits out. They know them well. Like Auckland, Wellington is the
greatest city m the world, but naturally it is a good deal better than Auckland, because it has Parliament there.
There are ' no drawbacks to Wellington like some other for _ eign cities. The wind is healthy and blows all insidious germs into other cities. The hills are handy for washing days «« *ust nwroir enough to make vehicular and
pedestrian traffic a positive delight, Thoroughly recommended as a health resort and a great city to encourage the noble art of alpine climbing and dodging the wind.
