QOWNIE STEWART'S' tariff changes at least show a sympathetic attention to the wail of public protest. In most respects, the Minister has shown' reason and an element of fairness. The film duty reversal was only what could be expected from a Minister who professed to have the public's interest at heart, for undoubtedly a high duty on foreign film with British photoplays being exceedingly limited for universal consumption, meant plainly that the public was going to foot the bill. And now, happily it will not.
