At the S.M. Court on Wednesday Sarah Jamiesoti, alleged experienced vag., was again accused cf rot earning her living m a respectable way. Sergeant Davy Stewart told the Court that he had known Sarah for some years. Her principal objects m life seemed to be to get a skinful of waipiro and to loaf round the streets. Lately he had. seen- her hanging about Foresters' Lane, and he had, moreover, received complaint that the unspeakable Sarah was m the deplorable habit of TAKING AMOROUS MAT.ttS into the backyard of a respectable female resident pf the locality, and there misbehaving herself. She was arrested near the lane, at about 9.30 at night. This evidence was borne put by slop McGregor, but Saucjj Sarah denied that she had been guilty of any such impropriety since coming out of • gaol some six weeks ago. Her husband, James Jamieson,swore that Sarah had been living with him m a room m King-street for the T>ast four weeks, and he had given her all his wages. Sarah got the benefit of the doubt, and was dis-* charged.
