The bosses wife' reminds me of one case where a landlord took a hand, there was a week of rent due, thei tenant was a poor woman- whoso ; husband was up country looking for, worrik. Well Mr Landlord brought up a cart to the door and carted out everything that was m the house,, then the scoundrel noticed ' a saucepan on the fire, . m this pot there -'was. some dinner for the kids, yer landlord 'got his eye on it, he grabbed it and looking round with a sweet smile ive took a daily paper out of his pocket, and spread it-. on the hearth, emptied the contents on to it then threw the pot on to the Cart. Landlords are' all the same, they have, made the .world a wilderness— look at Ireland, look at Scotland' look! at Eiugjl and, 'there isno such cxabition on. the face of tbe earth. Ireland has been destroyed, her people scattered to the four winds of heaven, Scotland and England the same. For what ? Only to satisfy the helish greed of the landlord, so they are a greater pest than the seven plagues of Egypt. Now yer must know that me and the bosses wife are greived at thehorible condition of life that the landlord creates- with hellish rents, he compels women to become prostitutes, clv_idren to become larikins, men to liecomebluclgers so that he can get more rent.. Yet this dirty cryature marches to church often with a big bible under his arm, prances up to the communion table and scoffs the whole of the wine and thexV goes homo thanking God that' he is not as other men. As a rule ho is a business man. Yer boyanger is a different covo he earns his money, no false pretences, #he gives far more ■ value than he receives, yet strange to say although he (the worker) creates all wealth yer fat man looks on him as a slave, yer boyanger never gets paid, only the wage of a horse.
