THEATRE ROYAL.
Fullers' Entertainers. Fuller's programme will undergo a considerable change this evening, and Royal patrons will have good cause to bless the fact that they live m Wellington and that there is a Fuller proprietary. Last night a very clever comedy combination, Joe Watts and Madge Lucas, and the Twin Sisters Lucas miade their bow to a Wellington audience, and the manner m which the gods took to them was electric. Ethel the contortionist also made her re-appearance, but for a short season only, Heaven be praised ! Tonight something choice and chaste is promised m the shape of the shapely Zaska, whose turn a la Madame Lotto is bound to be a -big boom. Ziska's turn is a very artistic and really beautiful one, and she should help to fill the Royal nightly during her season. An old favorite m Tod Callaway is itxack m Wellington, and though presenting the appearance of a corpulent alderman he is as clever as of yore and his budget of comic songs just, suits the popular palate. Another great favorite is Mr A.- L. Cropp, who is m splendid voice, and for the rendition of "The Rebel' 1 ' has been nightly applauded. Mr R. I-I. Collins, tho tenor, also has been m great denvand, while Bob Lloyd's comic songs please immensely. Pastor and Merle are defined as eccentric comedy acrobats m a refined dra#w : ng! - room act, and though "Truth" doesn't like to contradict the praxmnrmte, it/ doesn't know where the refinement comes m,, and doesn't see any drawing-room, and it doesn't perceive' any eccentricities or comedy. It's a stale old turn that went 'flat m the clays of Noah and if the pair have a change, then by all means- let's have it. Miss Ida Ingersole, "Truth" is pleased to state, has ended her season. She goes from the Royal, and may the blessing of God go with her. Where on earth are all these allegedN serios dug from? She ought to. get work at a match factory. She was never intended for the stage, and anyhow the management oug|ht to consider the, feelings of the audience. Miss Nellie Power still retains her popularity. Miss Gertie McLeod is a bonnie lassie, whose Scottish specialties have been a bright feature of the programme. The Marlowe Sisters sing sweetly, dance divinely, and are nice enough to cat, while Madame Bla/nche Carelli's highclass singing . is nightly appreciated m the heartiest manner. The Biograph pictures aro bright and clear and interesting, and taking things all round, tbe business at the Royal during the week to come ought to prove a record.
