Michael Farrell, who died up north recently, arrived m Auckland m 1852 by the ship Berwick Bastle. He was a memlber of the 89th Regiment^ and was wounded m the Miaori War. He subsequently resided at Onehunga. and at the time of his death, was 87 years of age. He leaves seven children and 22 grandchildren.

An old woman was before the Auckland Police Court the other day charged with fyeing unlawfully on the premises, the said premises being All Saints' Church. It must be mentioned that the old girl Was shikkered at the time. It's coming to something, though, when the House of God cannot be sought as a haven of rest from the outside wicked and wearying world.
