That Election.
"Enquirer" wants to know "Why the members of the . Wellington Racing Club excluded the Hon. T. K. McDonald from the position of steward ? Surely such a policy is suicide al seeing that the racing fraternity is likely to have a lively time m the near future. Numerous, and largely-^ signed petitions m favor of the abolition of the totalisator have . already been presented to Parliament,, and legislation must shortly follow. Our members are very much alive to the disposition of electors, when made manifest by these petitions. My ownopinion is that the services of such men as McDonald will be sorely required on behalf of racing clubs ere long."
