THE-HAWKE'S BAY WEIGHTS.
The Hawke's Ray ..Jockey Club will liokl Jheir Spring meeting next Wednesday and Thursday. The weights were declared at the conclusion .of the Rangitikei meeting, and m the Hack Hurdles I like Kaipetipeti and Golden Comb. In the King Edward Handicap a good field should face the starter, including Grand Slam, Mystification. Elevation, Gazclev, and Downfall. all N.Z. Cup candidates. EJlorton (8.2) and .Downfall (7.7) might be amongst place setters. In the Open Hurdles Asteroid (10.4) and St. Albert (lO.li are the two I like best, and Gold Crest (7.13) or Finery (7.8) should .annex the Fly-* in<r Handicap.
