LIVING PICTURE EVENT.
The ever-growing interest all over the world m the "Living Picture" entertainment is remarkable, and as a consequence the greatest activity is being manifested everywhere by amusement caterers who are continually on the gui vivi for distinctive novelty m this always fascinating realm of entertainment. The latest essay m this direction has just been most successfully accomplished by Mr Charles Macmahon, who has been m Australia for many weeks past, actively engaged m bringing about the necessary organisation for a complete and elaborate realisation m pictorial action of the vivid incidents of Rolf Boldrewood's famous story, "Robbery Under Arms." A complete Dramatic Company of Uf> persons was got together specially for the purpose, as well as bushnieu, riders, horses, and all the equipment necessary to the depiction of the, various .scenes and episodes of this universally popular romance of real life m early colonial days. For weeks, as king as the daylight lasted, tliev were continually at active work throughout the various places m New South Wales, where the actual incidents occurred, and, of course, closely followed by the operators with the most up-to-date apparatus «ml material m the cincmatosrraDhic world. The cost of the undertaking exceeds €1000. but the result Mr Macmnhon cables, gratifies the highest; expectation. The nroiect is specially for a New Zealand tour, and the combination, of which this "pictured story" will be a feature will open at His Majesty's Theatre! Auckland, on October 4th, and at the Opera House, Wellington, on November 2nd,
